During 2006, Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation carried out over 400 events. Foundationers and participants in the programs carried out by V.Spivakov ICF continually played with the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia under the leadership of V. Spivakov and state chamber orchestra "Moscow Virtuosi" in the cities of Russia, the CIS countries, and other foreign countries. The series of regular subscription concert took place in MMDM, the Armory Chamber of the Moscow Kremlin, the way it used to be during the previous years. Young musicians from more than 50 Russian cities and foreign countries came to Moscow to participate in the concerts on invitation of the foundation.
III International Festival "Moscow Meets Friends" was organized and held successfully, it was forestalled with the presentation under the aegis of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and press conference in Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper. The festival had powerful promotion support and gave rise to great repercussion. Over 2000 persons from 42 countries participated in the festival.
During the year, a great number of records of young musicians were made at Melody; six double albums with these records were produced.
The Foundation's concerts were included into the subscription series of concerts of the state philharmonic societies of Moscow and St.-Petersburg, and such cities as: Volgorechensk, Voronezh, Dimitrovgrad, Dolgoprudny, Dubna, Yekaterinburg, Zelenograd, Izhevsk, Ishim, Kaluga, Korolev, Kostroma, a Krasnogorsk, Murom, Naberezhnye Chelny, New Urengoy, Noyabrsk, Omsk, Orenburg, Pavlovo-Posad, Reutov, Rostov Velikiy, Rostov-on-Don, Rybinsk, Sergiev Posad, Sterlitamak, Tambov, Uglich, Ulyanovsk, Ufa, Feodosiya (Crimea), Khanty-Mansiysk, Khimki, Chelyabinsk, Chernogolovka, Yaroslavl. In 6 Russian cities, the festival devoted to the 250 anniversary of A.Mozart was held.
Foundationers' performances abroad have become traditional in the following countries: Austria, Armenia, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Hungary, Denmark, Italy, Canada, Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, the USA, Turkey, Ukraine, France, Croatia, Sweden. Two large-scale tours were carried out to Japan where young musicians of Spivakov ICF held a lot of concerts at different stages: from big concert halls to child medical care centers.
Master classes were held for the Foundation's students including those with involvement of outstanding musicians and teachers in Russia and abroad. The Foundation also arranged tours of several Russian teachers to hold master classes for foreign musicians. Several summer creative schools were held.
Panel discussions, seminars, exhibitions and concerts were arranged in orphanages and handicapped children homes, clinics and other medical institutions.
Young musicians of the Foundation participated in the annual concerts in Geneva, in the UN Palace of Nations, participated in the ceremony of awarding maestro Spivakov with the title of Actor of the World by UNESCO in UNESCO headquarters in Paris, and in the World Summit of the Press.
Within the Children on Roadside program and with assistance of the Ministry of Justice of the RF, concerts were held in detention centers throughout Russia. The Foundation representatives became members of the board of guardians of the Detention Center in Altufevo (Moscow).
Shows of works of arts by the Foundation young artists were held on a continuous basis along with subscription and festival concerts. The big art show was sent to Washington where it was demonstrated to the US public and won success.
Vladimir Spivakov ICF supported the actions of other charitable foundations. Its foundationers participated in the action "Give Me Life" in favor of children with leukemia.
The Foundation has sent its foundationers to the international musical competitions many times; in 2006, more than 40 foundationers became laureates and winners. The Foundation also organized numerous participations of foreign young musicians in the competitions held in Russia. The Foundation was the sponsor and promoted holding of international competitions in Russia, the CIS and Baltic countries.
The Foundation's participants performed at festivities and events on a high national level, before deputies, ministers, the mayor of Moscow, His Holiness Patriarch, Christ the Savior Cathedral before children from 55 orphanages on December 20.
In 2006, for the first time during the history of annual International Musical Festival in Colmar (France), a young foundationer of the Foundation was invited to this festival to give a solo concert.
This year the young musicians from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan participated in the Youth Symphonic Orchestra of the Volga region founded with the assistance of V.Spivakov ICF and this orchestra made of international participants held a great tour across Russia and the CIS countries, participated in the festival in France.
In 2006, several foundationers were sent to study in the best musical educational institutions of the USA, Great Britain and Switzerland. The Foundation paid for the medical expense insurance for its foundationers, young musicians.
During the year, the Foundation held thematic actions within the global program "Children of the World against Terror".
The Foundation purchased and presented 34 musical instruments to young musicians in Russia, the CIS and other countries: violins, flutes, oboe, French horn, violoncello, clarinet, accordion, fiddlesticks, strings. Computers, books and toys were provided to the orphanages in Pavlovo-Posad, Sergiev Posad and Pravdinsky orphanage (New Village settlement).
Over 500 copies of the study guide "Technique of Effective Violin Playing Instruction for Everybody" with the video application was published and distributed among schools and childcare centers in Russia, the CIS and Baltic countries.
In January 2006, Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation officially became the Russian representative of Jeunesses Musicales International, authoritative international musical organization.
Subject to Order of V.V.PUTIN, PRESIDENT of the RUSSIAN FEDERATION dated December 15, 2006 No.628-rp, VLADIMIR SPIVAKOV INTERNATIONAL CHARITY FOUNDATION was included in the list of nonprofit organizations involved in development of civil society institutions entitled for the government support according to the recommendation of the PUBLIC CHAMBER of the RF and the COUNCIL on DEVELOPMENT of CIVIL SOCIETY INSTITUTIONS and HUMAN RIGHTS under the PRESIDENT of the RF. The Foundation was provided with the grant for purchase of computers.
